Latest Football recruiting classes....SEC has

Featured Replies

Not sure that's accurate...at least according to Rivals...

U of L: 1 (5-star), 2 (4-star)

Florida: 4 and 15

Tennessee: 5 and 10

LSU: 0 and 16

South Carolina: 1 and 13

Georgia: 0 and 12

Auburn: 0 and 11

Alabama: 0 and 9

Ole Miss: 1 and 6

Arkansas: 0 and 3

:scared: That really puts things in perspective.

So, every school in the SEC has as many 5 and 4 star recruits as Louisville except for UK, Vandy and Miss. St?

Once again, UK will never win the SEC in football.

No kidding...I'd just be happy with a consistent bowl qualifier for now...then we can start thinking about moving past that. :thumb:

That's on Rivals, completely different story on scout.

Look at my post above yours for an example.

I would say it's fairly similar...it stacks U of L up a little more favorably with Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas though, which I suppose is the point...that would place the Cards 7th in the SEC if you just went solely by average stars, and that would place them ahead of half the SEC, as you said...well done. :thumb: :D

;)

I just wanted to show that in fewer bites of the apple, U of L has put together a class on par with the average SEC team.

And Louisville still has two more bites to come, in my opinion...

Yeah, I figure they'll move up a little from what I've been reading on BGP about their recruiting...

LSU,

Where does UK's class rank?

Where would UL's class rank in the SEC?

On SI.com (uses Rivals) UofL is currently ranked #39. They must count JUCOs because they list a 5 star for UofL and their only 5 star is a JUCO. That would put them in at #9 in the SEC. But a pretty distant #9 as the teams above them are in the top 25. The teams that fall in behind UofL are #49 MSU, #53 UK and #62 Vandy.

Looks like the SEC snatched up their share of prospects...

Looks like Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee are pretty much consensus top 10 classes...a little difference of opinion on Georgia and 'Bama, but top 20 is nothing to snub a nose at. Pretty impressive, but nothing out of the ordinary I suppose.
