3 losses in the first 2 weeks of the season was not on the bingo card for Newport. I still think they are one of the better teams in NKY but the top 5 ranking in the state is proving to be overzealous. The next week at King of the Bluegrass will be telling. 

Austin Davie is going to be a STUD. Kid looks like a young 9th grader. 6'5''ish. Don't think he is done growing either. Plays out on the floor, shoots it well. He has a chance to be really special. Going to be fun watching him grow and mature. 

Saw Austin Davie up close when Campbell Co. played Holy Cross last week. I agree he is going to be a special player. Has size and can finish. Tremendous upside! The Camels have 4 strong seniors who are in the starting lineup with him this year so after they graduate it will be interesting to see how they try to build around him the next 3 years.
