Covington Holy Cross 66 Cooper 54

Final from Latonia.

HC shows that they have the chops to win the 9th.

Excited to hear from anyone who attended with some details.

Holy Cross matches up better with Cooper than with teams with a true big.  It was a hard fought game.  Holy Cross’s defense created a lot of turnovers. Both teams had a few fouls they weren’t happy about, but it is what it is.  Nelson and Williams both had two either in the first quarter or early second quarter. I think HC ended up with three girls with four fouls out of seven that played.  I know at least one on Cooper had 4.  It just shows that the region is a little more balanced than it has been in the past.

Fun game to call on Holy Cross Radio. The Indians break the 33-game winning streak Cooper had over 9th region opponents.
