The Knights were ranked #16 in the Herald-Leader's preseason coaches poll, #17 in the Courier-Journal's preseason coaches poll, and didn't appear in KSR's preseason Top 25 ratings. The Colonels showed up at #14 in both the CJ & HL coaches polls, and they came in at #17 in KSR's preseason Top 25.

Cov Cath will be lifting the lid on Saturday on their home court against a Lex Cath team that started off slow with a 63-38 loss on the road to North Laurel. The Knights will also be facing the Franklin County Flyers on Thursday before rolling into Park Hills to take on the Colonels. Cov Cath will be playing their first game in 13 years without Scott Ruthsatz running the show, with new head coach Jake Thelen directing the team in his first game as a prep coach after spending 7 seasons on collegiate coaching staffs.

What are your predictions for the game?

This has been a good series over the years. Mildly surprised the two haven't scheduled more frequently.

From the "Scoreboard Era (1997/98 - present)."

CovCath by a dozen or more.

Knights win Frosh game 51-42. Margin was around 10 most of the second half.

Caught a bit of this on the CAN. Lex Cath has some size up front and a guard who sank about five 3's.

JV game is currently 33-28 Colonels with about a minute left in 3Q.
