Most everyone associates him with St. John's, rightfully so.   But he also coached Dr. J in the ABA with the New York Nets.  A true basketball legend.

"Carnesecca died just over a month before what would have been his 100th birthday."

RIP, Coach.

Great guy, great coach.

A true icon.   RIP.

The Big East was something to watch back in the day, wasn’t it?

The ESPN 30-for-30 Requiem for the Big East is one of the best documentaries you'll see about the early days of the league. Carnesecca plays a big role and is a great interview on the show.
