Saturday looks a little chilly…

Like usual, the forecast has changed.  @nWo, we need you on this task!

Expect air temperatures in the mid to upper 20s for Friday's games. The mid-30s could be the high in the afternoon. The opening game should have wind chills between 19 and the mid-20s. After sunset, they ought to drop back into the low 20s. Right now, there is no chance of precipitation.

Around the time of the first game on Saturday, the temperature should be in the mid-30s. Highs in the day should reach about 45 degrees before dropping into the mid-30s for the evening match. A small amount of precipitation is possible. Southern Kentucky may see some showers, according to the GFS. Because of the GFS's propensity toward displaying storms moving more southerly, I am giving precipitation a remote likelihood in the Lexington area.

Kickoff for PT/Corbin was 30 and the game ended at 27 degrees. Similar, but even colder for this Friday night. The PT crowd is supposed to be wearing blue, but I don't know how much of it you will see under all the coats and scarves.

Will be lots of heavy parkas and Carhartt covering team colors in the stands this weekend!

The highs on Friday will be in the low 30s. The wind chill will begin in the midteens and remain in the mid-20s for the majority of Friday due to westerly winds that range from 5 to 11 mph. Neither Friday nor Saturday are predicted to see any precipitation. 

 

 

On Saturday, the high is expected to be in the mid-40s, with more mild temperatures. Temperatures for the first game will be in the low 30s. Winds from the southwest will be consistent at about 10 mph. This will assist in keeping Saturday's temps mild until dusk. By the end of the period, temperatures will be in the high 20s. Before they become insignificant for the remainder of the day, wind chills will be in the mid-20s for the first game.
