Pikeville (4-5) travels to Boyd County (5-4) Friday for the regular season finale. Who wins this matchup of 1A vs 4A?

Imo, if Pikeville plays like they know they can, they win this one. Pikeville won it last season convincingly at Boyd Co., but as we all know this is a different year. Going with the Panthers in this one.

Imo, Pikeville's defense will be the difference in this game. However, they'll have to play like they know how for four quarters with improved play calling.

Pikeville needs to get out of this one injury free.

This should serve as a good gauge for where Pikeville is as we move into November. Boyd's a solid 4A team that's faced Ashland, Johnson Central, and Bell County. The Lions looked really good last week, beating Lawrence County by three scores. 

If Pikeville struggles, it stokes more belief that 1A is there for the taking. If the Panthers roll, it could be the launch pad to Kroger Field.

I'm told where its a bowl game for Boyd Co., there is no home and home. I suppose its similar to where Johnson central participated in the Pike Co. Bowl two consecutive years. (23/24)
