This was all Bellevue. They led 28-0 at the half and went up 36-0 as the third quarter ended. Dayton could only do little moving the ball and their defense played good at times, but Bellevue was clearly the better team this season. Congratulations to Bellevue on winning and getting the paddle back.

It doesn't seem that long ago when Bellevue phoned in their season at the halfway point, while Dayton was enjoying a resurgence of sorts under Jamie Herbst.

Jesse Herbst is the coach. Both teams were pretty equal in terms of numbers, I think the difference between the two this season has been youth and inexperience, especially inexperience with Dayton this season. Dayton’s starting quarterback also didn’t play last night.

Jesse, I knew that.  When you are 77 years old, sometimes names run together on you.
