You would like it, it is nice up here and in my experience everyone gets a long with each other.

The wife is from up there, I know plenty of people up there, and there's plenty for me to do (HS sports, Bengals, Reds). I could keep myself occupied. lol

FWIW, NKY is the only other place in Kentucky that I'd live. ?

I've got good friends that live in Louisville. Down in the the valley actually near PRP.  Just played in a golf outing at Seneca with them 2 Sats ago.  Those guys hate UK and and I have a disdain for UofL, but we still kick it lol.  I've played ball at Turners off Zorn Avenue.  I don't hate Louisville, but it's different now.  I've read stories of the migration from Chicago to Louisville, and let's be honest JCPS's is in shambles.

The root of it is the rivalry, but people take it far beyond that.

To the original post, this is the Butler/PRP issue. However, if this happened between two neighboring counties in western Kentucky or two former coal towns playing 1A football in eastern Kentucky, no one would be saying to remove your kids from those schools. JCPS has a lot of faults and that makes it a pretty easy target when it comes to placing blame. I'm not sure

It's even better as WEBN used to say Just past Crittenden. Love being in the middle of nowhere, but having a town that gives me just what I need.  Or drive the 35 mins North.

It just gets old hearing over and over again how bad Louisville is from people who are never here and certainly don't live here. Of course there are things to improve on (JCPS being one of the biggest ones), but folks will try to convince you Louisville is Kyiv.

To those people, turn off the news every once awhile and touch some grass. Louisville is a great place to be.

Can I say this in regard? I don’t know if that joint is still around, but every year we played Ball at Kentuckians for Nationals or States we stayed at the Thrifty Dutchmen on Preston or near Preston. I recommend to anyone lol. The Good Ol days.
