Throwing at Lee first play in OT was a huge mistake by Highlands. If they run the ball, they probably score.

Why call  a fake punt at your own 40?  Not ready for prime time play calling for the Bluebirds.

If it works it is a good call. If it doesn't it is a horrible call. I will say that if the snap is clean with no bobble, Lorenen picks up the 1st down. The snap was bobbled and nearly dropped and he still picked up 3 yards. Personally, I don't mind the call. Execution could be better. Snaps have been a little off all season.

You never want your first fake punt in a live game that is a district game or playoff game.  Good opportunity in this game to see how it works and make adjustments accordingly.

All variables that have to be considered and weighed when making the call.  The call was made, the execution was less than perfect, the play failed, Ryle is set up with great field position to go in to score.  A game changing decision that was not necessary at that point in the game.

I've got no problem with the fake punt.  It didn’t work, but it was a great time to try it.  Easy to second guess.  I didn’t  like throwing the ball 3 straight times on the last drive of the game when Jack white was running for 7 yards a clip.  I especially didn’t like throwing on first down from the 10 in ot.

here’s the thing- I know less about football than the coaches do. So- I can tell everyone what they shoulda done, but I’m guessing they know that already. Congrats Ryle.  Short memory- move on birds.

I'm not sure is was a "great time to try it".  Punt the ball, trust your defense.  There was no reason to roll the dice and give Ryle great field position and a huge momentum swing.  Just my opinion.
