I thought I would share as I was looking at this week's top 25 that was released today. The SEC has 6 of the top 7 teams with Ohio State being the only non-SEC team in the top 7. A total of 9 out of the top 10 come from the SEC (6) the Big 10 (3) and then from the ACC Miami. A total of 14 of the top 25 are from the two conferences. The breakdown:

SEC-8

Big 10- 6

Big 12- 5

ACC- 4

IND- 1

MAC- 1

Using the AP Poll for this week, the college football playoff would look something like this:

I like that a lot already.  College football is so much more engaging this year.

They're actually rated 3rd but the top four seeds in the playoff all go to conference champions. I've got the Longhorns as the 5-seed right now because Georgia is ranked ahead of them.
