Barren County 60 Warren East 52

An absolute wild 2H in this game, 58 points between the two teams in the 4Q alone. Coach Myers was very appreciative for the community, players, staff and even mentioned administration, and for that to be said for the Trojans is a very big step in the right direction. I was very shocked to see how well they ran this offense, QB Tate Spillman is a very good football player, 16 carries for 106 and 2 TD’s on the ground and 8/12 in the air with 212 and 3 TD’s. Daylan Thomas was also very tough to bring down and went 9 for 111 and a TD. 3-0 start for Barren County as they host the Falcons of Monroe County at home next week, could be in for a fun season.

Warren East can’t be too upset with scoring 52 points. McCool had 138 yards rushing with 4 TD’s along with 1 receiving TD. Parsley went 25/40 416 yards passing and 2 TD’s. Unfortunately the defense was nonexistent, the misdirection and size the Trojans brought to the table was too much all evening. Raiders are 2-1 and hope to bounce back next week when they host the Warren Central Dragons.

What a game!  Congrats to Barren County!  Happy for them.  Haven't been a ton of joy for them in the near past.  Hope they have a good season.  As someone said somewhere else, they could win their district this year and that would be awesome!

For Warren East, no shame in this loss.  Just go to work to get better.  Good effort.
