Gallatin Co. 63 Carroll Co. 40

Featured Replies

The refs have had nothing to do with gallatins 3 loses, they played horrible against owen and henry, and had a lot of missed oppurtunities against shelby. Carrolls guards were just to weak to handle gallatins pressure, maybe next year they will be a little stronger with the ball.

You know, it has been a tough tough season for the Panthers this year. I understand the frustration, but a lot of those fouls came from frustration. I don't think that we should take anything away from Gallatin. As much as I hate to say it, they were just better, all around. Carroll County needs to regroup on several different levels. We can't keep blaming the officials for our shortcomings. Officiating does not make that much of a difference when the margin of victory is that big. I really wish Carroll County would stop making excuses and try to fix their problem.

Coachwife, I have to agree with you entirely and say that this is an excellent post. Had Trimble County beat the Panthers the night before and had to take on Gallatin, chances are that the very same outcome would have prevailed (though I would never bet against my team!). Both of our teams (Carroll and Trimble) are having less than stellar years, but I have enjoyed watching Trimble improve their game over the season.

Thank you True Blue. It kills me to say those things about my team. I know it can be perceived as not supporting them, but I just cannot abide by all of the excuses that we have been throwing around.

Guards not Officials. Carroll's guards once again show why they can't win big games. 25-30 tunrovers a game will not win a game. The Officials did a great good and maybe had some bad calls on both sides not just one. I hate to say it too but Gallatin is just better than Carroll is. Until the Guards start showing to take care of the ball it will be a long two years for the Panthers.

Also bad attitudes on the team is hurting the Panthers. I saw one kid just walk off the court yelling at CC's Coach becasue he came out. Maybe your the problem not the Coaches.

I did not say the guards had a great game, they did not by no means, but like i said earlier the touchy fouls on one end compared to the fouls on the other end was not evenly matched from the top section where i was sitting. I guess all i can say is, is everyone has their own opinion, nobody has to agree.

I know exactly what you are saying. We support our teams no matter what, but we do not wear "rose colored" glasses. Problems can't be fixed if they aren't acknowledged.

You are right. We are all entitled to our own opinion. But, surely you don't feel the officials created a 23 point differential for the game?

No, not at all. I am just saying that you could see a little bit of favoritism towards the Wildcats. I was not trying to say at all that Carroll lost because of the officials. Even an official cannot blamed for a lost by that kind of margin. Carroll lost because they simply got out played by the Wildcats. Just the officiating could ahve been better.

I would like to see the attitudes sit on the bench and the players that just want to play ball on the court for C-town...win or lose it would be more fun to watch.

As a fan it is embarassing to watch that type of stuff happen on the court.

I agree Lunatic. Thankfully we have gotten rid of our "attitude" problems at Trimble for the moment.

I tell you what, though. I was thoroughly impressed with your boy Hendricks. That kid went to war against my Raiders and he got the job done.

Only a Soph...he is going to be a monster..He got on the all tournament award and I really felt like he deserved it..

He is a good kid and definitely not an attitude problem. It is nice to see him want the game that bad.

Ladies and Gentlemen don't let me be the first to let you in on this little secret but Carroll doesn't need to wait on talent. They have it now. There are coaches in this district that would either win with the kids they have now or get rid of them. It would be up to the kid.

I'm not sure it's a coaching problem. Maybe a personnel problem. I just think that there is enough talent there but for some reason it can't play out for 32 min.
