Thank you Jumper Dad for posting the link. We have been a tad slow this opening week in getting things going. Many tasks to accomplish before we start the season.

Thanks for the props, Guru.

I’m taking Somerset by 21.

Almost that time. Looking forward to a great night of HS Football. Jumper Walk gets things started at 6:30. We go on the air at 7pm and KO set for 7:30. Link to the LCS video stream is above.

Perry Central had a big kickoff return to open the game. A first down and a penalty gave them a first down and goal at the 9.  A penalty on 2nd and goal from the 1 led to a 33 yard field goal attempt. Somerset blocked it and Kris Hughes returned it all the way for a touchdown. The extra point was good. Somerset leads 7-0, 5:09 to go in the 1st quarter.

Somerset stops the ensuing Commodore drive and ends up kicking a 30 yard field goal.  But Perry with another long kickoff return. This time for a touchdown. Somerset leads 10-7 and driving inside the Perry Central 10.

Somerset with a touchdown on a Bruner to Isiah Lewis 16 yard pass. This time they squib kick. 17-7 Somerset 6:52 to go in the first half.

Kris Hughes with a 24 yard touchdown run for Somerset, 24-7 Briar Jumpers with 6:00 to go in the 2nd quarter.

Somerset ends the half with another FG, 27-7 Somerset at the half.
