Victory formation for Oboro, lol.

10-7 at the half, Red Devils.

I think O was less concerned about preserving a 3 pt scrimmage win and nit trying to be a J-hole by throwing for the end zone.  Triple post how did that happen.

Mayfield has a nice defense and some good runners.  They did a good job focusing on Hampton and getting a quick rush.  O’s defense came along in 2nd quarter and heck of a pass rush.  Hopefully some good competition in the 3rd quarter to.

One thing I noticed was after Mayfields first 2 drives they pulled all their first string receivers for the next 3 drives. They didn’t move the ball at all hardly after that. Idk why you would do that with 2 young QBs and only 2 weeks til the season starts.

There were a few drops in the 2nd Q

Mayfield 3-0 (they hit 1 FG total) in 2 red zone chances a piece.  Now JV and under in.

Goods scrimmage for both teams

Mayfield will get better as the season moves on. I think at this point they are a contender but certainly not the favorite. They have a few things they need to figure out. I thought Owensboro has a good team, I know very little about 5A other than Graves County plays in it and they have a rivalry with Owensboro.
