16thBBall Fan Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Undisputed and Skip Bayless have the final show today. What was strange about it was that Bayless never said a word or a goodbye he posted the news on X (Twitter) after the show.
theguru Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 From Newsweek.com: "Today was my last show on Undisputed," Bayless wrote. "I'm leaving FS1. I've been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. I had a great 8-year run with a lot of great people at Fox, but now I'm excited for what's coming up. Stay tuned."

It’s comical to see people acting like he has failed, when in reality he is the godfather of sports debate and hot takes. And the dude is in his 70s! What’s sad, is that so many know Skip as this tv caricature (which he became some time ago), but he was a gifted journalist/writer before his full-time television gigs. He has always struck me as a complex person that’s going to rub you the wrong way at some point. 1
Jumper_Dad Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 One less sports shout fest on TV, I feel this is a win for us all. These types of shows, where Skip flourished, in my opinion have ruined the ESPN brand (yes, I know his last show was on FS1). ESPN still does excellent work broadcasting live events, but 90% of their daily shows are just unwatchable...at least for me. Maybe we will get lucky and Stephen A will get offered (the $25 million he thinks he's worth to go do) a podcast and will leave ESPN.
