Cubs at Reds (7/29 - 7/31)

The Reds kickoff a 6-game home stand vs. two of their competitors for a wild card spot in the Cubs and then the Giants. The Cubs (51-56) come to Cincy to take on the (50-55) Reds in a 3-game series with all 3 games starting at 7:10pm each evening. Go Reds!!

Benson with a 2 run shot in the second.   Currently 3-0 Reds in the 5th.

Friedl with a 3 run homer in the bottom of the fifth.   Still in the fifth, 6-0 Reds.

Candelario homers in the 8th to make it 7-0.   Following pitch from the Cubs goes off Tyler Stephenson's head.  Cubs P and manager both get tossed.   7-0 in the still in the 8th.

Reds win the first game of the series and the homestand 7-1. The bats woke up tonight and got a very nice 5 innings of 1 hit and 0 runs from Carson Spiers in the win. Let's keep it going tomorrow night.

One of the most fun things for a Reds fan, beating the Cubs in Cincinnati. Send all those Cubs fans home unhappy.

Nick Lodolo does not have it tonight he has in 3.1 innings gave up 9 hits and 6 runs all earned. The Reds are now trailing 6-0 through 3 1/2 innings.
