      Well to answer one of those questions, Weis will not return for Washington County. He is heading to prep school according to social media posts from a few days ago.

      Some of the more recent big news out of the 5th region is the injury to Cochran from Adair. He had a severe leg/ankle injury in AAU a few weeks ago. Should be back before the season but will miss the

      Ended up a better prognosis than believed. 4-5 month return to sports.

    Adair will also be playing at Martin County in the Zip Zone Classic against Boyd County on November 30th.

    Cats Pause yearbook has released their preseason rankings for the 5th region. 

    1. Adair County

    2. Larue County

    3. Bethlehem

    4. Taylor County

    5. Green County

    6. North Hardin 

    7. Bardstown 

    8. Central Hardin

    9. Elizabethtown

    10. Caverna

    Mind you these rankings were likely pre-transfers for some of these schools such as Green County who added two high caliber out of state players. Also to me Caverna is way too low in this as they have 4 of 5 starters back including Jaylin Craine who has D1 offers at point guard. Etown lost everything from last season so cannot see them being in the top 10.
