JV 9th Region Tourney

Now I am confussed.... Are you saying that three young freshmen who played a lot of JV games during the regular season were told that they weren't needed when the JV tournament started, but it is OK to play three young ladies who play and get a LOT of Varsity minutes, in the JV Tournament? WOW no wonder so many kids have quit, left or won't play for Conner any longer.... Sorry ladies, your good enough to play during the regular season when we need your bodies, but we don't need you now, so buzz off......... you got to be kidding.

BTW, Conner has played 8th graders on your Soccer JV/Varsity teams to have enough girls to make a team, and BTW one of those girls and her sister now go to Highlands.....

I didn’t say anyone was told they couldn’t play. Those are your words Old Guy. The coaches decide who will play or not play. Those who aren’t coaches usually don’t know the reasons why those decisions are made. The statements you make are not facts, just simply your opinion.

It must be great having a school that treats everyone so fairly. I will make an outsider observation, just like you Old Guy. How can a player average 20 pts a game during the JV tournament, but not even get off the bench in a varsity game? Why would a coach not want to develop a kid like that for the future? Are you kidding?

If you feel the need, please tell us more bad things about Conner’s past. As far as the present, I think the program is headed in the right direction.

IBALL, doubleduece made the comments regarding kids playing in the seasonal games and not being asked to play in the tourney. Since you seem to be close to the Conner situation, can you comment on what doubleduece is referring to?

Read all the threads, I was asking about doubleduece's comment about kids that play during the season not being asked to participate in the tournament.

Don't get me involved w/Conner troubles! If a kid plays on the team during the season they should be allowed to participate in a tournament and I don't care what grade they are in. READ everything before picking someones comments out to be critical about.

My apologies 3ptshooter. Even though your post quoted DD, it seemed that you were simply echoing DD’s comments, but just more emphatically and directly at me. I just read it again, and it still feels the same way. I guess the written word can be so…..tricky. Ain’t that funny?

This is the second thread I have read with negative comments about Conner.

IBALL, I did echo his comments as far as asking a question that he made a comment about, nothing tricky or trying to be secretive about anything. He said something about kids playing in the season and not playing in the tournament so what about this. You seem to be the Conner man on this thread. Are there kids playing in the seasonal games and not being asked to dress for the tournament games.

I am not saying anything negative, just asking a question. I love most Conner people as I have worked there before. My concerns are that kids playing during the season are not playing in the tournaments and I don't care what grade they are in. Numerous teams have underclassmen/middle school kids playing up all over the country. It is not a secret any more.

I do not know the answer.

This is a great question I would love for one of the ND coaches to answer as well. I am assuming that we are talking about the same girl who only gets to play JV. The day ND played Conner this girl had 18pts. in the first JV game and 26 in the second jv game. ND was beating conner by 20+ and she never seen one second of the varsity game. I know almost every single player on the ND team and they are all very good players ,with that being said, this particular girl should at least be the 2nd player off the bench.

This same girl in question though, did not do anything against Boone in any of the three games and only scored 2 in the last contest. Maybe that is why she don't see any V action, inconsistant? Just guessing though!!

NDA Pandas win the 2007 JV tournament. Congrats to the Pandas for the second year in a row.
