HHS over Lloyd. All i got. Any details?

Lloyd actually led after a quarter. HHS went up 3 at half. Lloyd took a lead briefly in the second half, but HHS bench was too deep. HHS by double figures. Maybe 16?

Thanks for the info.

It's official.......NDA vs Conner in the finals next Sunday.

Now the big question, will Casey Jackson start for the NDA JV team Sunday afternoon? The only reason I am asking, is that after watching the JV game between NDA and Conner Saturday Night at Conner, the Varsity lineup for Conner within two to three minutes into the V game, found three girls who started and played almost the entire JV game playing (oh BTW NDA won the JV game anyway).

Come on Coaches, is winning a JV game so important that you have kids playing 45/50 minutes (or more) of Basketball in a span of two to three hours. How in the heck does that help your program overall.

Now I am not at all saying that a JV player can't get some Varsity minutes, or even be the eight or ninth person off the bench, but to have your JV starters getting more than 16 minutes a Varsity game should mean they shouldn't be JV players. Think of your program long term future not just getting a win......Is cutting a young player, or having a young player getting little or no playing time, or quitting because she never plays, helpful to your long term future, so you can win a JV game?

If this continues to happen, I see the KHSAA stepping up to limit the amount of time a player can play per night, as a lot of other state association have done.....

Conner beat Holmes, N D beat Boone today(Sunday), so those 2 will play for the championship

Conner had only 8 girls on the bench today. (Their 9th player could not make the game.) Conner just doesn't have a lot of girls in their program, period. If you recall, girls that used to play at Conner now play at Ryle, Boone, Notre Dame, etc. I guess they could play more freshman on JV, would that make you happy?

Well you forgot to add Highlands, but I guess etc. was HHS.:D

Now you tell me, why have all those girls left Conner, and you didn't even mention the Juniors and Seniors (I can name two seniors who were/are pretty good and a couple of Juniors) who no longer play for Conner but still go to school there...

BTW who's fault is it that a school as large as Conner has so few students playing sports. I remember not all that long ago, when Conner hardly had enough girl's to field a varsity soccer team much less a JV team and soccer is huge in Boone County....

Really my point wasn't to single out Conner, it was just that they were the last JV team that I saw playing that had so many girls playing so much JV and Varsity. I really see a need for the KHSAA to set some limits on playing time for the safety of the kids.....

I don't think they are playing to much when you add up the minutes. During any given JV game our girls that play both usually play about 12 to 15 minutes at the most in JV. Then in Varsity I would say they play about the same or maybe a little less. You add up the minutes it is not even a full Varsity game which, I have seen many Varsity girls playing the whole 32 minutes straight without a break in between games. I don't think any of Boone's girls are in danger of getting hurt playing to much. IMO sometimes it seems they need to be playing more

What about the 2 or 3 girls who usually play JV for Conner during the season but were not asked to play in the tournament?

Sidenote this is the 3rd straight year of NDA vs. Conner in the JV championship!!

Good luck to both teams. Hopefully the game will be played early enough on Sunday, that attendance will not be hurt by either the Super Bowl or the pre game parties....

Explain this one! How are kids that are on the team not asked to play?

Are you talking about the freshman? Do you want Conner to play more freshman in the JV tournament?

Do you also want Conner to play 8th graders in the freshman tournament?

Now I am confussed.... Are you saying that three young freshmen who played a lot of JV games during the regular season were told that they weren't needed when the JV tournament started, but it is OK to play three young ladies who play and get a LOT of Varsity minutes, in the JV Tournament? WOW no wonder so many kids have quit, left or won't play for Conner any longer.... Sorry ladies, your good enough to play during the regular season when we need your bodies, but we don't need you now, so buzz off......... you got to be kidding.

BTW, Conner has played 8th graders on your Soccer JV/Varsity teams to have enough girls to make a team, and BTW one of those girls and her sister now go to Highlands.....

Read all the threads, I was asking about doubleduece's comment about kids that play during the season not being asked to participate in the tournament.

Don't get me involved w/Conner troubles! If a kid plays on the team during the season they should be allowed to participate in a tournament and I don't care what grade they are in. READ everything before picking someones comments out to be critical about.
