These are how Nations Elite's rankings compare with the Courier-Journal poll released last week.  Ranking is Nations Elite, the "Up/Down" metric is compared to where they were in the CJ poll.

1. Great Crossing - Up 1
2. Newport - Up 7
3. Lyon County - Down 2
4. Trinity - Down 1
5. Frederick Douglass - Same
6. Evangel Christian - Up 2
7. Bowling Green - Same
8. DeSales - Up 6
9. Male - Down 3
10. Harlan County - Up 8
11. Calloway County - NOT RATED
12. Fairdale - NOT RATED
13. Boyd County - Up 12
14. Warren Central - Down 10
15. Martin County - NOT RATED
16. Washington County - Up 8
17. Covington Catholic - Down 7
18. Mason County - Down 6
19. Cooper - NOT RATED
20. Walton Verona - NOT RATED
21. Spencer County - NOT RATED
22. Lexington Christian - NOT RATED
23. Highlands - NOT RATED
24. Madison Southern - NOT RATED
25. Montgomery County - NOT RATED

These teams were not rated by Nations Elite - the ranking in parentheses was their position in the CJ poll:
Elizabethtown (11)
George Rogers Clark (13)
Woodford County (15)
Lexington Catholic (16)
Ballard (17)
St. X (19)
Ashland (20)
Butler (21)
Danville Christian (22)
Manual (23)

Which poll do you think is more accurate? What team(s) are these polls still getting wrong?

Me personally, I've not put any stock in the Nations Elite rankings, as my children would say "They are do-do butter".  They have the "Nate in sports" vibe to me. Take 4 other polls-get your information--add a couple of unknowns--and throw it against the wall lol. Too each his own though

I trust Jason Frakes more than I do whomever is behind "Nations Elite".  Thus....give me C-J of these two rankings.

I don't rank anybody.

I share rankings.

What are you referring to?

Jason does NOT rank them himself.
He even shows how many first-place votes teams got.

I know, but thank you, but I trust him and his process and the seriousness with which he takes his job.

The Nationselite post reminded me of you and your opinions on twitter(X). Have a great thanksgiving

I trust Frakes too.

I'm just saying he is quoting coaches' votes and it's not his personal preseason ranking of every region.

How does it remind you though?

I share rankings so others can see and be aware.

I don't do my own for the sake of a like or tweet or share or reply or repost.

Most of what I post has NOTHING to do with opinions (more often, I'm sharing rankings or offers or commits or other news)

1-2-4-5-7-8-9-10-12-16-21 are all in the Gardner Law King of the Bluegrass, December 19-23 at Fairdale High School
