Jaguars lose a thriller in ovetime to Clay. Even down a couple of people, North played hard.

Conway continues to do an excellent job this year. The district tournament should be excellent with 3 very even teams.

Started to pick North Laurel in the contest and then saw it was at Clay Co and went with the home town. Congrats on the win.:thumb:

Josh Seidel had 29 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort for the Jags.

 

Zach Lewis hit a 15-footer to put Clay up three with about a minute left in OT, then got a key offensive rebound with 8.3 seconds left, and hit a FT to ice the game.

Justin Hobbs had 18 pts and 4 assists, and Moe Campbell added 17 and 6 boards for Clay.

Just saw on the news about North Laurel's incident... just wish the best of luck to their program!

Losing 3 players (2 senior starters and 1 underclass contributer) hurt the Jags depth. However, the effort of this very young team now without any seniors was excellent. Siedel is becoming the player many heard he could be and he is only a sophomore. This was a terrific game. Conway has done a masterful job at keeping their focus on the court and shown why if we can keep him at North Laurel, he will eventually build a consistently solid program.

 

I saw 2 team playing their guts out with 2 outstanding coaches in Spurlock and Conway. The district tourney should be very exciting. I have to rethink my opinion that the loss of the players knocks North down in the top 10 of the 13th region. They gave Clay all they wanted and led for over half of regulation play. Clay earned the win in a very solid game for both teams.

With all thats going on with their program(whatever it is) North seems to have banded together and is playing well. Coach Conway is doing a very good job. To bad this district does not seed, a repeat of this game would make a great distirict final.

Glad to see North's kids hang in there after a tough week.

That what I'm talking about a rematch would be fun, Clay is a great place to play IMO, if you can win you know you have done something.
