June 3, 200917 yr I just started following Africam on Twitter. Then I installed an application called "Twitterlicious." Now I'll get a pop-up balloon in my tool bar whenever there are animals at the watering hole. :popcorn: Will let ya' know how long it takes to get sick of it. :sssh:

June 3, 200917 yr Thanks! What is the coolest thing anyone has seen on this? I saw a lion. Also saw a giraffe almost fall into the lake while drinking on the bank. I've seen elephants, rhinos, a hippo hanging out in the middle of the pond, and lots of others.

That's right after dawn there and the herds of zebra and impala are usually out. You also might see other animals at dawn and dusk (South Africa time). Late at night (S. A. time) you might get lucky and catch one of the big guys wandering by.

June 4, 200917 yr You just have to watch at the right times and have some luck. It's like hunting or fishing; you're not going to see the big game every time you watch for a few minutes. Sometimes animals will come by only once or twice a day. If you tune in, I think, around 10 or 11 P.M. EDT, you might see the morning pan. That's where they pan the camera all the way around once or twice. They also will zoom in on the zebra, wildebeast and impala that gather up near the lodge. Also, at any time, lodge guests are allowed to manipulate the camera to follow any wildlife that might be at the watering hole. So, keep watching!
