Jackets Embrace Hive Mind, Looking To Notch Another District W

Records: Wofo (4-1) | Collins (4-2)

BGP Rankings: Wofo (#5 in 5A)

Week 7 Results: Wofo beat South Oldham | Collins had a bye week

Series History: Wofo leads 4-0 all-time

Where they've been: The Yellow Jackets comfortably handled South Oldham, despite being short handed. Quarterback Andrew Nason and the team have parted ways and FBS prospect Makhi Smith spent the night in street clothes, nursing an injury. Their absence didn't hinder the team, as they rallied around Justus Wertzler, a receiver thrust into the starting quarterback role from here on.

Collins had a week off to lick wounds after taking one on the chin from Scott County and get some extra prep for this week.

Where they're going: Woodford County has yet to lose to the Titans in four games and Collins has been unable to slow the Jackets offensively the last three years. All eyes will be on dual threat freshman Kade Goodin, who produced 300 yards of total offense in the Scott County loss, to keep pace with a diverse Wofo offense that features all-purpose speedster Leland Taylor.

Mr. Leland Taylor ⬇. He leads Wofo in rushing and receiving, and averages 13.6 yards per touch.

Kids flys in the open field. Should get some offers for the next level. If not football, Track.

Nason left the team??

You shocked? I suspect he will go past Tyrone bridge, go to US 127 at the Walmart, turn left and go 30 miles south.

Woodford fairly easily.

Mid season?  Yes.

Woodford County wins. Collins don't want play in a phone booth and can't stop anything off tackle.

That may be the biggest red flag I’ve ever seen, for someone wanting to play college football.

Woodford rolls easily! I don't know what's going on with Collins but it seems like they are down.

Wertzler to Tomlin for a Wofo touchdown. They ran nearly half the first quarter away on that opening drive.
