January 18, 200719 yr Just a complete meltdown by Pearl that cost them any shot at the game (the entire team melted down to blow that 14 point lead but that's a whole nother matter). Tennessee really likes to talk about all the turnovers they generate off of 5 second calls on inbounds plays, there was still plenty of time to try and force a turnover and have a chance. Very unprofessional, he honestly should have gotten a 2nd T and the boot.....

I'm not knocking UK's D at all, but I don't think you can measure UT's against the Cats' based solely on the Auburn games. I'm thrilled to see Tubby's smothering defense back, it's been gone the last few years.

So i guess if you call call 33 percent good then yea, they did not play that bad...I'm jut saying in the SEC games they have played they have hed all the teams well below average.

Their defense seems to be predicated on getting turnovers off of the inbounds pass on the press or on the 1st trap after that. If you handle their initial pressure they're not that good in a halfcourt set. They were allowing 45% shooting, 74.6 points and 15.6 assists per game coming into tonight.
