So Ryle beats Cooper 28-10, Highlands beats Ryle 52-20.....

In current Media Poll 5A:  Highlands is #3 and Cooper is #5

Is this an indication of how far of a gap there is from #3 to #5, or are we saying that the Ryle win over Cooper was a fluke or the Highlands drubbing of Ryle a fluke???

Just curious more for a debate standpoint....

Or is the Top 3 or 4 in a league of their own???

For the record I don't the Highlands game over Ryle was a fluke.....that's Highlands becoming Highlands in my opinion.....

I wouldn't read too much into it.  I assume most of the voters are taking a hard look at the BluegrassPreps.com Football Rankings and a couple of other things, tinkering with it a bit, and voting.

I wouldn’t read too much into the final score of Cooper and Ryle. Cooper was winning that game in the 4th quarter. Then with 5 minutes left in the game it was still only a 14 to 10 game when Cooper had a turnover  that was taken back to the 1 yard line and Ryle scored 2 plays later. Then when Cooper got the ball back, they had to go for it on 4th down inside their own 30 with 2 minutes left down 11. Ryle got a stop and took over inside Cooper’s 30 and scored again to make it the 28 to 10 final.  So the final score ended up being an 18 point margin, but the game itself was a one possession game throughout until 5 minutes left.

Cooper and Highlands play next week. So you probably will get the answer to your question one way or another next week.
