West Jessamine 34 Danville 27

Colts defeat the Admirals in the second game of the R.J. Corman Jessamine County Bowl.  They spoil Frank Parks' first game as Admirals coach.

This is the first time that the Ads have lost a season opener since 2012, which was Sam Harp's last campaign as head coach.

Colts had several chances to go up by more scores during the game but kept giving the ball away.  They had five turnovers, two of which happened on punt returns.  Braidin Baughman ran for more than 200 yards but had an unfortunate fumble late near the goalline and the Colts were able to grind down the rest of the clock.

Overall, the Ads showed good fight throughout the game but came up just short.

I watched this gams on the live stream, Danville didn't play bad, a couple of overthrow passes by the qb could've led to TDs by #2 Trumbo. Baughman played good other than that fumble. The offensive and defensive line needs a lot of work especially the defensive side. West Jessamine has a nice qb, I like the way he runs the ball. West Jessamine defensive front was in the backfield a lot.

Lots of youth for Danville but sounds like some pretty good skill. They may not be the Danville of old but I suspect they'll win some games as the year progresses.
