Sorry I missed an injury I guess when I went to the restroom. Who was hurt is it very bad. I talked to coach McPeek today and hoped no one got injured. The big stud 0-lineman for Hoban broke a bone in his leg on July 31st and will be out for 8-10 weeks.

Dialls, Turner, Carpenter... Hopefully they all were removed out of precaution,  rather than complete injury.

Final Varsity: Frederick Douglass 21-20

JV 4th Quarter: St. X 7-0.

Good scrimmage for both teams to see what they need to work on.

JV score was actually 6-0. I forgot went for two instead of kicking XP.

I thought Marlon Harbin was MVP for St. X. He made some great catches tonight against a good secondary. I can see why he has offers from Louisville and Kentucky. I think the defense needs to work on tackling. Saw several missed tackles. I also think St. X had too many penalties of offsides on defense and false starts on offense. Now on to opener with Floyd Central (IN).

Some interviews from the scrimmage. #BigThings

Great scrimmage we talked to Coach Wallace at halftime and he was not at all happy ? (see the video).  The Tigers looked a lot better in the second half (3rd quarter) St X sophomore #6 Marlon Harbin is going to do #BigThings Douglass looked a lot further ahead then we thought they would be with a lot of new blood being infused. sophomore QB Jaxson Strautman has definitely  put returner Cole Carpenter on notice that he has to be more consistent or he may loose his spot. The Bronco talented freshman class has not disappointed  and if they can become contributors  the better this team is going to become.
