Final the Cats go 4-0 in Canada. They we led by Tre Mitchell with 23. Reeves had 18 tonight with 5-8 from 3.

Obviously this is not an indicator at all about how the season will play out. However, I liked the style of how this team played. For not being together much at all, they really share the ball well. The ball was moving around a lot better than use to seeing. Even saw a few out of bounds plays, and even a zone for a possession or two. So definitely nice for them to get some actual game experience together. Now they still have to get their two big guys mixed in once they get back from injury.

Have to love seeing Reeves win MVP after having such a tough game shooting in the tournament game against Kansas State. He came back and was lights out this tournament. Having him back and getting Mitchell was huge for the rest of this young and talented roster.

Was great to see the offense moving the ball around as well as they did in Canada.  All 3 freshmen guards played well, I'd have to say Sheppard looked better than Dillingham for the most part.  Nice to see the team overcome some adversity, losing both 7 footers for this trip and still able to leave Canada 4-0.

Sheppard and Mitchell surprised me by how well they played in this event.  I was glad to see Justin Edwards play so well after a tough opening game.  Wagner is what I expected him to be and I look forward to watching him this year.  Reeves was so good from the perimeter.  Very glad he returned. 

That said, I really don't think we can take too much from this.  I am not sure the talent was all that great.  But I enjoyed watching the team.
