I seen this score on scoreboard this morning, and almost couldn't believe it.  Is this the most lopsided result in this series?  Danville has fallen on hard times after a great 2 classes have graduated in baseball.

Danville beat Boyle County, 24-5, back in 2006, but that's by far the largest margin on the KHSAA website dating back to 1999.

For just a second I thought football and now I am sad. 

I have to say that I'm a bit surprised with Danville's struggles.  They did lose some great players but I was told Morse was still helping on the sides with the program.

From what I've gathered, numbers are low and they're having to use some middle school players.  A great coach always knows when it's time to get out.

From what I hear, Danville graduated a ton of kids over the last two years and have just one experienced pitcher from the last two years. That's Sam Matherly, who threw a 2-hit shutout tonight. These results are very similar to their back-to-back with Lincoln County last week when the Patriots rolled Danville in Game 1 before the Ads won Game 2 the next night.

Danville will present whoever they play in tournament 1st round problems with Matherly on the mound.

Agreed. I think Boyle and Garrard are the two best teams overall but both Danville and Lincoln have number one starters that can win a district tournament game. Much like basketball, this year's baseball tournament should be very good.
