Couple weeks under our belt and it seems to be anyone’s region.  Conner was my preseason favorite and they only have 1 loss… to Cov Cath who only has one loss.. to Ryle who looks unstoppable early in the season.   Lot of Baseball left and we need Mother Nature to cooperate to see more games. 
 

My Top 5:

1.  Conner

2.  Ryle

3. Cov Cath

4. Beechwood

5.  Highlands

I don’t think any team is dominant so the region seems wide open to me.

I agree with this top 5. Could jumble them around in any order probably, but I put Ryle at #1 at the moment. 

I’d put Ryle over Conner and Highlands over Beechwood.

Only 4 teams in the ninth region currently have a winning record:

Conner 10-1

Cov Cath 6-1

Ryle 8-3

Beechwood 7-2

That list is in the order of their RPI ranking today.

 

My top 5 right now are:

Ryle- has 3 losses but they were to far superior teams then the 9th Region teams IMO. (Trinity, Moeller, and Brunswick) 

Cov Cath- watched them against Ryle and they never gave up after being down 4-0 they will be tough come Region time.

Conner- can hit the snot out of the ball but pitching could be an issue. 

Highlands- saw them very early and was impressed by them. 

Beechwood- just need to figure out the rotation. I’m not sure Stacy is there best pitcher as he has struggled early but we will see.

I think any of these 5 could win the Region it will depend on how the draw goes for the Regional Tournament. I am excited to see how each team grows later in the year.
