I personally would like to see the out-of-region referees discontinued.  I have been to the 8th, 9th, and 11th region games this year and I can't really say anything good about the officials.  I watched the 11th semifinals Saturday, they had the 9th region officials.  They were actually 6 of the better officials from the 9th, neither game imo were greatly called games.  I honestly don't feel the favor either team, but they call the game differently than they do all year long.

Also think its strange that they assign region referees before the Sweet 16 bracket is drawn.  If I'm a 13th region ref and I know my home teams may play someone from the 8th region at Rupp early on, that could have an effect on the way I approach an 8th region game (I'm not saying it would affect 100% of refs, but even one or two could make a minor difference).

Fouls - or the lack thereof - may play a big role in this one.    Hopefully, we don't see the "sudden change" in officiating philosophy we saw in the girls' final.   After swallowing their whistl

  • I think the development of Fisher and Neal has been crucial.  North already had 4 solid, reliable players (counting Scales), but now that either Jack or Grant can be counted on in big moments, well, i

WOW! 2 first quarter points for NO??

Jasper Johnson has had some really impressive finishes already. Best player in the 8th imo....

Probably, but he just started to focus this year in the 4th quarter against Owen.

Last year, North came out hair on fire, Woodford didn’t respond and before you know it, it was over.  45-19 at the half.  This year, same thing the other way.  21-5 Woodford County with 1:56 left in the half.

Was not impressed with WC last week or Johnson. Tonight, totally different story

23-11 at the half.  As good as WC was on the defensive end, 12 points doesn’t quite equal game over.  First few minutes of 3rd are crucial for NO.

I agree, he is very inconsistent, but very young. But when he is going, there is a reason he is a top 20 player in the country.

Is he really top 20 in the country?

I’m impressed with them too. Who is their coach? He adjusted well in the Owen game and he has his team executing a solid game plan in the first half here too.

I have no video feed @ColonelMike is that a problem on my end or do you have any idea when that will be back?

Jaron Brown, he played at Pitt and Bryan  Station.

Last week I thought, no way.  I mean you could see the potential, but it was a case of serious hype - I thought.  Tonight you can see where some of the talk is coming from.

Yes ranked like the #15 player in the country for the Sophomore Class.
