Danville 92 Somerset 70

Featured Replies

Per twitter Jarius Bryant had 40 points for Danville. Somerset was led by Ben Godby with 31 before leaving the game early in the 3rd qtr with injury. Indred Whitaker also did not play for Somerset. Jalen Dunn had the best dunk I've seen all year, look on Danville basketball twitter if you would like to see it.

Danville was on fire from three point range. They came in shooting 29% as a team and hit 14 in this game.  Somerset came into the game with 2 starters out, and when Godby went down they had no answers for the Admirals.  Danville led 42-36 at the half and hit 8 three pointers in the second half while Somerset hit none.  If Danville can shoot like they did tonight they'll be a tough out, even with that difficult road in the district.

Bryant had 35.  Not sure how they added 5 Pts. ? Impressive nonetheless.  Godby was incredible for Somerset before leaving the game.  Him and Whitaker will be special next season together.

This game sounds like Danville's game against Garrard County a couple of weeks ago when they hit nine three-pointers and effectively ran the Lions out of the gym. The Ads then combined to shoot 4-for-40 from three over their next two games, both losses. Some nights everything just goes right, and for Somerset, especially losing Godby mid-game, it just wasn't to be.

If Danville can shoot half as good as that they will have a chance against anyone in this region.
