8th Region Week 9 Review

The the is extremely busy tonight... here is some of the big games:

North Oldham at Grant County- Grant County is undefeated on their home floor, and now they host the #1 team in the region and #4 team in the state. Can they pull off the upset to stay undefeated at home?

Simon Kenton at Oldham County- at the beginning of the week I chose this as game of the week. If I would have known how Oldham would have performed against Collins I probably would have picked Grant and NO. However, his still has potential to be a great game. Both teams have height, but one team has Max Green, and I think I am going to take Oldham in the upset. Will Krohman be able to keep up with Green? Will Amburgey be able to contain Dynes?

Shelby County at Collins- This game should not be a very close game, however it was earlier in the year. These teams will square off in the district tournament in a couple weeks. Will they throw everything at each other? Hide some things and keep their game plan?

Oldham vs. SK video coverage will be on www.pegasussportsky.com; pre-game show begins at 7 pm.

SK's defense vs. OC's offense....should be an interesting matchup of strength on strength.    But I think the key will be SK's  offense vs the OC defense.    SK's offense hasn't been as explosive, but OC's defense hasn't been their trump card.

"Abbreviated," and still great work. Featured player and District seeding update, +/+. Thanks for all you do @Adrian Woj Burner.

  • What a reward for Spencer Co. locking up 1 seed...You get Collins, a team with a style of defense that can give your 3 PT shooting game fits!  Tough district!

The OC and SK game is a toss-up in my eyes, and I think it could be close. Having the best player on the floor in Max Green could get the Colonels a big win.

I agree with NO winning, however if Grant can keep it a single-digit game it proves that they are a legit contender.

Collins, by a lot. Heavily agree, Shelby has had some recent struggles, and Collins just looks better week by week.

Hopefully the Braves can hang.

I say Oldham comes out ready to make up for that Collins loss and wins by 2 (although the thought of Amburgey trying to score inside on Dynes makes me a little anxious).

I thought North was really good.  Then they played OC much closer than I expected, and I thought, maybe they aren't as good as I thought.  Then they steamrolled South, and I thought maybe they are better than I thought to begin with.   North by 12.

Collins by 21.
