Dave Faust's pursuit of the 9th Region all-time victory record

St. Henry played and beat Bluegrass United last year and it counted toward the team's official win total, which added to coach Faust's official win total. So that's two bits of evidence now that seems to support a win over Bluegrass United as being a bona fide KHSAA-endorsed win. The kicker: A 14-10 St. Henry squad won by just two last year, 69-67, at Bluegrass United. Which begs the question: Where do home-school teams play home games? Presumably not in the living room.

4️⃣6️⃣0️⃣  RECORD TIED: From Cooper Coach Tim Sullivan. What a great tribute, via Twitter, by a fellow member of the coaching fraternity.

? Great write-up by James Weber of the Enquirer.

In it - Coach Faust's playing and leadership history. Praise from the current record holder. Tributes from former St. Henry players. A planned celebration.

"He just really immersed himself into the game," Shields said. "He's always been a gentleman and he's always done a excellent job. He is a very, very good coach."

Shields won 460 games as a head coach at Highlands and the former St. Thomas high school. That number has stood as the most wins of any Ninth Region boys basketball coach since Shields left in 1988 yo take over as head coach at NKU ...
