Final from Erlanger.  Juggernauts travel to Ft Mitchell to play the Beechwood Tigers.  

This game went pretty much as I expected. It was a good season for Breathitt County and they showed well in this game. 

Congratulations to the Juggs on the win and earning probably the shortest road trip of any visiting team in the playoffs next week (5.5 mile 10 minute drive).

Breathitt County fans comments on Facebook this morning are not satisfied with the officiating in this game and that is putting it mildly. They were really doing some heavy venting. I wasn’t there and saw only a little of the game on the BSN stream, so I don’t know. I did see back to back big offensive plays wiped off with holding calls in the second half, but on a steam from a phone you can’t see anything in detail to know one way or the other. I suppose holds  could be called on about every play in high school football, or football at any level for that matter, if referees so desired. They happened a lot more than they’re called. But the timing on these really hurt Breathitt.  There was also a TD that Lloyd made in the first half, which I didn’t watch, which the fans felt the runner was down before he scored. 

I imagine both sides would have felt officiating was a factor in a loss no matter how it played out. It definitely wasn't the 'A' team from where ever they were from. Questionable calls and no calls on both sides all game. 

The touchdown on the kick return by Zulager couldn't really see by anyone but the Lloyd sideline, but he appeared to land on the tackler and he never did stop running. He looked like someone who knew he was still up. Whether he was or not, not sure. 

There was also a weird play that Breathitt County was backed up near their own goal line and went on 2. Both backs moved towards the line and looked like they knew they messed up. But the refs allowed them to reset without throwing a flag. I know you can reset formations but they very obviously were starting their play. 

Beyond the refs. Great season and game by Breathitt. For Lloyd, the name of the game at this point is survive and they did that. 

I'm not sure if Breathitt plays this slow paced offense normally or if they were just trying to keep the ball out of Lloyd's hands but it definitely was throwing the Juggs off in the beginning of the game.
