Good/fair statement, Fun. Why did Jones not utilize his bench much on Dec. 12th? I think that I remember someone saying that Carlton was out during that time.

 

Henson and Carlton both did not start the Henry and Owen games and got very few minutes. Both have been starting ever since, but different players could start now for Gallatin and we still have the advantage because of the bench. Sometimes I think it takes a few games to see who matches up the best.

Gallatin is the best of the small schools in the 8th region. I look for them to repeat as All A champs this year and make a run at the All A title but they just don't have what it takes to be contenders in the real show. They may actually make it to Henry for the tourney this year but that will be about it.

Even though Coach Duvall has his boys ready to go tonight, I don't think they can stop the momentum Gallatin has gained over the past month. They are playing excellent ball right now. I think it will be tight game, but depth and momentum will overcome the home court advantage. I pick GC by less than 5.

They still play Shelby Co. and Oldham Co. at home and at South Oldham, so that could give us a gauge of where they stack up. By the way, do you consider Oldham and South Oldham contenders? If so, why not Gallatin?

Or maybe you think it's a 2 horse race between Shelby and Simon.
