Dudley Hilton's Bobcats travel to Dyehouse Stadium to take on the Golden Lions. Bell County has owned 3A District #5 in this current alignment cycle and that does not seem to be changing this year. Bell County has scored no fewer than 28 points in all 6 of their games this year and will look to continue their winning ways by dominating the line of scrimmage in order to run the ball.

Garrard got off to a slow start this year, but they have won their last two games by scoring over 40 points in each game and holding their last three opponents to 20 points or under. The level of competition is getting turned up about 8 levels this week.

I look for Garrard County to play good defense against Bell, but the size and physicality of the Bobcats for 48 minutes will be too much for the Golden Lions this week.

Bell County 21

Garrard County-7

Bell County 42  Garrard County 14

Bobcats-35 Golden Lions-7

Garrard throws an interception on their first possession. Bell follows it up with a touchdown drive and 2 point conversion.

8-0 Bell, 6:42 left in Q1

Another Garrard interception leads to another Bell touchdown drive. 2-point try is no good.

14-0 Bell, 3:01 left in Q1

Long back to back runs from Peak and Simmons get Garrard on the board.

30-7 Bell, 6:37 left in Q2

Garrard played without their staring quarterback who was out due to injury. The Golden Lions moved the ball well for much of the game but had three turnovers that killed drives deep in Bell territory. Bell moved the ball up and down the field all evening.
