Farmer's Almanac

Featured Replies

The Farmer's Almanac predicts an extra cold and stormy winter. One that will start significantly earlier. @nWo How do you feel about its reliability? Do you know how they even reach these conclusions.

The Farmer’s Almanac is a good discussion piece, nothing more. Same can be said for any long range forecast.

I think we will have a winter close to what we had last year. At least at the beginning. I think a warm winter start in November and December. January and February also will be close to the same. La Niña is forecast to last through the end of the year and then transition to Enso Neutral. If this happens expect a warm end to winter. More of a chance for ice storms. Of course, we will have to take into account that even though it may be warmer there will still be cold snaps and snow. One last thing with such a possible weather pattern we will have to pay attention to the possibility of severe weather.
