A really nice big group of teams going south from the NKY.  I will be interested to see how they all do, especially the Pandas, will they go down and thrash the 3 teams they are going up against??

Curious what the difference between Conner (Red) & Conner (Blue) is??

I like how the schedule really kept any NKY teams playing each other (at least what I see so far, I might have missed a matchup that is close to one another).  Nothing upsets me the most when you travel to a tournament 90 miles away and then the tournament puts you against a school literally in your backyard.  KUDOS to the Bluegrass Games soccer committee.

Pandas will be tough like they are every year.  Anyone who takes them down will likely be firing on all cylinders and kids having the games of their lives, not impossible but a mountain to climb for sure.

I think Conner is still deciding who is on what team and uses this weekend to make final placements.  Purely speculation, I think the red team playing the B schedule will mostly be made up of the varsity team and the blue team playing the C schedule will have potential only varsity players and junior varsity players.

I too like the fact that NKY teams were drawn away from other NKY teams.  It will be a great weekend of soccer.  It's going to be a hot one!  Good luck to all the teams.

Russell defeated Central Hardin  Navy Blue 2-0.

Covington Holy Cross had a nice showing going 3-0 with wins over Bardstown 6-1, Bullitt East 5-0, and North Hardin 2-0.  The only goal given up was a PK from a foul in the box.  It was was hot for sure, but fun having some different competition. 

Conner red team went 2-0 with wins against East Carter 5-0 and McCracken County 2-0.  They lost their second game on Saturday due to Ohio County dropping from the games.   

Had this in the wrong topic. Pandas went 2-0 looking good against Madison Central in a 6-0 win. They looked very out sync against Central Hardin in a 3-1 win. As expected lots of new names and faces, on new face is freshman Sadie Yapp, very strong addition. 

Simon Kenton went 2-0-1. A controlled 5-2 win against Lexington Christian that was 4-0 deep into the second half, when subs were being made almost hockey style. A 1-0, heat-shortened, win against Henry Clay on field that would make St. Henry and NCC proud. Last game was a 0-0 draw against Lafayette, SK had plenty of shots, just could not find the back of the net.
