Table Setter: The most highly anticipated matchup of the state tourney has come to fruition, albeit probably a round earlier than most would have liked. St. X baseball is a blueblood and McCracken has been one of the top programs in the state since the school opened in 2013, lending the feel of a state title game to this semifinal. The Tigers have devoured everything in their path over the last two weeks and the Mustangs haven't lost a game in a month. The last opponent to deal McCracken a loss? …… The very same X squad they'll see this Friday.

Both teams met earlier in the season with the Tigers winning a close one. I see another close game between these two top teams. At this point of the season with both teams evenly matched, it will come down to which team makes fewer mistakes.
