Congrats to the CovLatin Trojans, who won their first varsity game since January 5th, 2019, 53 losses ago.

The Trojans were led by Junior Gunnar Brunett who scored 23 points in the win.

I'm happy tonight for a senior named Alex Pham.  Latin played their Senior Day game at our place (Brossart), and in Pham's Senior comments, he stated that he had enjoyed playing for the Trojans over the past years despite not winning a game.  I'm happy for him and the other Latin seniors that they got one before walking down the aisle. 

There was a time that Latin was competitive in basketball.

Couple names that come to mind:

Dave Justice.

 

Fr Heil did a really good job coaching them while balancing the academic demands of the school.

Latin School lost to this team 67-20 earlier in the season. What a turnaround!
