Mike Pegues named Interim Coach at Louisville

Featured Replies

He did a decent job at the start of the season.  It will be interesting to see if they can regain that form, or if the season and events to date have worn them down emotionally.   Shows he cares for the kids, because he's stepping into a situation that is just going to spiral further down, IMO.

I expect the team to be rejuvenated. That still won’t result in very many wins with the upcoming schedule, but I would be surprised if they aren’t noticeably more enthusiastic.

The interesting thing about interims, is if they catch lightening in a bottle.  Ed Orgeron comes to mind as a great interim coach that parlayed his role into the head job a couple of times.

Pegues could definitely be coaching for a HC opportunity.

Pegues did great job in press conference today. He should get a head coach gig somewhere. I think he would do good job.
