The Indians put up 89 points without Meyer.  Everyone stepped up and Zach Arlinghaus was on fire from the three.  It was a nice tune up for the All A.  Hopefully Meyer will be back.

* Holy Cross played without Jacob Meyer who sat out the game with an injury. Javier Ward led all scorers with a career-high 40 points. The Indians had 11 3-pointers on the night. Quantez Calloway led the Bulldogs with 27 points.
 

Holy Cross is now 1-1 in district play with one game left at Beechwood on Feb 5th. Holmes drops to 0-2 in district play with a game left with Beechwood.

Very impressed with the Ward kid, might be the quickest I've seen in awhile, sometimes too fast. Others were nice complimentary players tonight with all contributing in some way. 89 points without Meyer is something to be said, good luck in the "all A" later this week Indians.

As a lifelong 9th Region fan, it is amazing the drop off the once dominant Bulldog program has endured.  In 4 years under Mike Listerman, they were 60-53 with only one appearance in the 9th Region Tournament.  They are 32-67 in four years under alum Brad Carr with 0 winning season and 0 Region Tournament appearances. 

To keep it in perspective, they have lost two impact transfers the last two seasons.  Javier Ward (to Holy Cross) and Eian Elmore (to Taft) would have made a big difference in this game.  But the question should be, why would they leave in the first place?  And should Elmore even be eligible at Taft?
