January 2, 200719 yr And U of L had 8 teams go bowling, and only lost to one of those. That is impressive too and I'll be honest better than I expected on their schedule. I just don't see how you can say teams have soft schedule's when they have 7+8 opponents in bowl games.
January 2, 200719 yr ^ It's not the whole schedule...it was the OOC schedule....anybody can schedule a bunch of tough guys, and lose, then brag about how great their schedule was..the key is winning those tough ones, and UK didn't do much of that.

But 2 of the 4 OOC teams UK played went bowling too.. Central Michigan already won their bowl, we'll have to wait till tomorrow for UL. So it's not like they played 4 bottom dwellers..This weak schedule stuff doesn't hold water.

I understand what you are saying about the out of confrence schedule. To me it was about time they made the brillant move and softened it up some. That gave them a chance if they won the games they had too to become bowl eligable. They took care of business and pulled off one of the upsets over a major program. The result.... look no further than the buzz around UK football right now. The difference is that their in confrence schedule is as tough as it gets in the Nation. Add it up and they still have a tough schedule. They have one of the toughest in confrence in the nation then go play a program the caliber of Louisville out of confrence. Throw in a MAC championship team and it's not all that soft IMO. They don't have the option to get out of arguably the toughest confrence in football. Stick Louisville in with Florida, Tenn, Georgia, South Carolina plus sprinkle the teams like LSU or Auburn. Now go out of confrence to schedule a team like Oklahoma and a top MAC team. That would be far from soft for Louisville.
