East Carter will host Ashland in the 16th Region Championship at Steve Womack Field. The Raiders have never beaten the Tomcats. Ashland won the regular season contest (31-20) after a costly fumble by East Carter in the 4th Quarter, during a potentially game tying drive. 
How do you feel the teams match up for the second meeting with their seasons on the line?

This game is not a regional championship game. This is the 3A District 7 Championship. There isn't a 16 Region in football.

Thank you for correcting me. My mind thought one thing and fingers typed another. You’re right District 7 of Class 3A. My error. 

The homestanding Raiders are looking for a program breakthrough against the defending state champions. There's a great story waiting to be written here.

East has to play mistake free football and slow down Palladino. He and Terry both have the ability to take over this game. They were both kept in check last time.

Any time Ashland plays, Padron is a potential x-factor. He gives you a little bit of everything.

Ashland has to play mistake free and keep penalties to a minimum. The O-line seems to be working good together now and hopefully the defense shows up and plays all 4 quarters not just the 4th.
