tomcat1984
I’m just wondering what happened to both defenses for the most part. This has to be the most combined points in a game for these two. Really thought Russell had the right game plan with throwing the ball as long as they weren’t forced into passing every down and Ashland finally got the ground game going. Congrats to Russell on another good season. Ashland can enjoy this tonight and get back to work for East Carter next.
GOREDDEVILS
Ashland has a lot of improvement to do to defend their title from last year. I don’t think the East will win for that matter. If any team does it would be Belfry.
tomcat1984
Ashland no where near what they need to be for Belfry. The got lucky with East the first time and should be a close one.
DevilMayCare
Over a thousand yards of offense out there tonight. The combined points and yards might be stadium records. @tomcat1984, this was easily the most points scored in the series' history. Ashland ran for well over 400, led by Vinnie Palladino with 237, unofficially. Russell threw for 400+, including the 60 yard trick play touchdown. Neither team could do much right defensively. Ashland ball carriers looked like they were slathered in butter with all the broken tackles and Russell receivers ran free in the secondary all night. Shoutout to SJ Lycans and the Ashland kick coverage unit. They kept Russell pinned deep most of the night. No short fields for the Red Devils. This was a missed opportunity by Russell to catch Ashland in a down year.

GOREDDEVILS
Russell Finished 6-5. To me that is a down year.

True, but in the Ashland/Russell series, Ashland is the hunted. When the hunted is down, the hunter has to take advantage.
