4A's lead dog goes on the hunt in Barbourville

Records: Corbin (6-0), Knox Central (3-3)

BGP Ranking: Corbin (#1 in 4A), Knox Central (unranked in 4A)

Series History: Corbin leads 32-3-1 all-time

Table Setter: Corbin hits district play as the top ranked team in 4A and with a full head of steam. The Redhounds have outscored their opposition a combined 264-64, which represents both the most points scored in the class and the fewest points allowed. They pounced on Simon Kenton last week, before the Pioneers rallied to close the gap to 21-17 in the third quarter. Three unanswered touchdowns from the Hounds put the game away. The last of those scores came from Seth Huff, a former 1,000 yard rusher for Knox Central. His defection from Barbourville to Corbin over the off-season bolstered an already star studded Hounds offense, while simultaneously diminishing a Panthers offense that could really use his talents right now. Knox Central has dropped two straight games, most recently a 35-20 setback to Bourbon County.

Corbin has owned this series over the years, with most of those games being lopsided Hounds wins. On paper, this year is shaping up to be a continuation of that domination.
