Yellowjackets try to continue upward trajectory against Bulldogs off the leash

Table Setter: Woodford County backed up its blowout of Glasgow in Week 1 with a three score win over Campbell County last Friday, despite being without leading rusher Preston Stacy. The Yellowjackets' first 2-0 start in nine years has helped solidify their top 10 ranking in 5A.

That top 10 position will be on the line against a Dunbar squad looking to rebound from a loss to Madison Central. Last year's 6A semifinalists carried that momentum over into 2021 with a 41 point waxing of Breathitt County, but stubbed their toe last week against the resurgent Indians.

Both teams like to establish the line of scrimmage and run the ball, but the passing game has also been utilized to great effect by both. And each team has its strengths, defensively. The Bulldogs have ball hawked their way into five interceptions through two games, while the Yellowjackets thrive on penetration, recording 20 tackles in the opposition's backfield.

 

I’ve got to stick with WC I seen them live in the Scottie Bowl and they looked awfully good to me.
