Ashland wins 4th straight over a scrappy Johnson Central team without Mccarty. They play a tough Louisville Iroquios team tonight in the championship game. Ashland now stands at 5-3 on the season.

Johnson Central without McCarty makes it more difficult for the Golden Eagles to compete. He scored 44 points in a game vs. East Carter this year...would have more than made up the difference of 7 points I believe. Is he injured?

I read somewhere else that he broke his finger at the start of their last game.

Even though JC didn't have their best player it's still a good win for the Tomcats. They have been improving and are starting to put it together on the offensive side of the ball. Getting into the Championship of this competitive tournament is a great thing, and I just hope they keep improving and by Febuary and March may have a chance in the regional tournament.

That is correct.

McCarty said today that the x-rays came back negative and there is no broken bone. It is just severely bruised.

I saw his thumb and it was very swollen and bruised
